Printing their best photos made on the past two workshop sessions
was the goal of weekend number three. The children were taken to the lab and
introduced into printing by their mentors.
The first step in printing a photo is selecting the negative to print
from. Diamond and her mentor Kael are working on the lighttable before they go
into the darkroom.
The children learned how to expose photographic paper and did all the
processing steps by themselves, assisted by their mentors. This darkroom scene
shows Jim Seida introducing his student to the developing process.
Tricia and Neil review the result of their darkroom work at the drying
machine.
