Transparency

Transparency in the context of logical machine migration is the requirement that the migration process is transparent to the software that is migrated. Neither the LMOS nor the user programs should need to bother with migration issues unless they want to influence their own migration. I/O, communication and other operating system functions are expected to work in the same way they did before migration, and without a change of inner states, after a migration occured.
